About Irlam Vale AFC
Announcement:
Irlam Vale AFC is looking for players and coaches across all age groups! Get in touch to see where you fit in!
Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission is to build an inclusive environment for children and adults to play, coach, and enjoy the beautiful game of football.
Our vision is to create a space where our players and coaches can develop as individuals and as part of a team. We offer advancements in coaching & management, club volunteering, and refereeing & first aid badges.
Philosophy
Irlam Vale AFC is a community-focused Junior Football Club following a ‘football for all’ philosophy.
Not only do we want to create a football community in Irlam to be proud of but we want to help the community and provide a safe place for everyone to come together and enjoy a fun social activity that they can be proud of.
Why Join Irlam Vale AFC?
We aren’t just a football club. We build a development funnel where our players and coaches can complete their badges, and build an experience in football.
From refereeing, coaching badges, first aid training and in-house advancements to running their own team of youths in the future.
When you join Irlam Vale you don’t just get to play football. You get your first opportunities in the wonderful world of Football.
Irlam Vale Activities & PDFs
Youth Football
We offer youth football for all kids from 4 years old, before separating into boys and girls football at 16 years old.
We believe in football for all, and we do not enforce a separation of teams before the FA-required separation at 16.
Boys Football
From the age of 6 upwards, we offer organised league football for young lads who wish to get involved in the game. This opportunity is designed to teach them discipline, coordination, teamwork, and a helpful skill to stay happy, healthy, and fit throughout their lifetime.
From the age of 16 it becomes a Men’s-only football team and more competitive through the next few years as they gain the necessary strength to face the world and potentially open-age football at 18 years old in a Sunday league team.
Girls Football
From the age of 6 upwards, we offer organised league football for young ladies who wish to get involved in the game. This opportunity is designed to teach them discipline, coordination, teamwork, and helpful skills to stay happy, healthy, and fit throughout their lifetime.
From the age of 16, it becomes a women’s-only football team and more competitive through the next few years as they gain the necessary strength to face the world and potentially open-age football at 18 years old in a Women’s league team.
Adults Football
In Adults football we can look to offer an organised league team experience for Women in the Women’s open-age Leagues, or for Men in the Men’s Sunday Leagues.
This can provide a fun and stress-relieving weekend session of football, followed by socialising locally/away after the matches.
Summer Activities
Irlam Vale AFC offer Summer Activity clubs throughout the holidays to provide kids with the opportunity to play through the off-season and stay fit, healthy, and fresh with their football skills!
Skills & Drills for Home practice
Need something to keep your kids occupied at home? Send them out into the garden with a football and a copy of our skills and drills for home practice – available straight to your email upon request!
1 to 1/Extra Training
Some of the Managers & Coaches at Irlam Vale AFC offer 1-to-1/Extra Training sessions for kids to continue improving outside training & matchday sessions! We can also discuss external trainers!
Club History – Irlam Vale AFC
Established in 1996, Irlam Vale AFC began as a single team before the turn of the century as a new opportunity for youth football in Irlam & Cadishead. we have since expanded into all age groups, with 16 teams and more than 20 FA-Qualified coaches, first aiders, affiliated referees, and more than 200 players!
Cut to the modern day where we are looking to grow even more, connect across the Football system and generate more and more opportunities for our members.
We love nothing more than the beautiful game of football and we are excited to share that feeling with all our members.
